What this tool does
Hopcheck lets you paste a URL and see the full HTTP redirect chain for that URL. It follows each redirect one hop at a time and displays the results in your browser.
Data processed
When you use Hopcheck:
- URL you submit — the URL you type is sent to our server, which uses it to make HTTP requests to that URL and any URLs in the redirect chain. The server records no log of submitted URLs.
- No personal information — we do not ask for or store your name, email address, IP address, or any account credentials. There are no user accounts.
- No cookies or tracking — this site sets no cookies and uses no analytics, tracking scripts, or third-party embeds beyond the Google Fonts service used for typography.
How data flows
The URL you submit is sent via HTTPS to our server (a Cloudflare Worker). The server makes outbound HTTP requests to trace the redirect chain. Results are returned to your browser and rendered on the page. No results are stored server-side. Closing the page discards all results.
Third-party services
The site loads font files from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com). Google's privacy policy applies to that data transfer. No other third-party services receive data from your use of this tool.
Data retention
Hopcheck retains no data server-side. The Cloudflare Worker that serves the API does not log request bodies, response bodies, or URL parameters to disk or database. Standard Cloudflare request logs may record origin IP addresses and request timestamps for operational purposes; these are retained per Cloudflare's standard data retention policy and are not accessible to the operator.
Your rights
Because Hopcheck does not collect, store, or process personal data, there is no personal data to access, correct, delete, or export. If you believe we hold data about you, please contact the operator. A contact method will be published here when the business entity is registered.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the revision. Material changes will be noted on the Hopcheck home page for a reasonable period.
